Shakedown St.

Hey y'all. Still haven't figured out how to upload photos from my phone to my blog, so no pics yet. Shake-down ride felt really great today. I literally had chills as thirty four of us left the parking lot and rode our first miles here in nags head. Finally hitting me what all this really means. Tomorrow we have our ceremonial "tire dip" in the Atlantic and make our way to swan quarter, Nc. Amazing southern cooking tonight from our host church folks - I had my first taste of real southern-style pulled pork! Full, tired, and excited for tomorrow. Gnight!

Made it to nags head (finally)!!

Successfully made it to nags head - first blog of the trip!! After cancelled flights, scenic but expensive rental car drives and cab rides, Ben and Ashley and I made it down from new england! More to come later - on the road this morning to iron out the kinks and get to know everyone.

If you're inclined to send me things...

Several of you (kate) have asked for the process on "how to send stuff" to me.  It's actually not that difficult so if you're ever inclined to send a note, please do!

As I said I will be anxious to know what you are all up to, and who doesn't love getting mail?

Go to the NC2SD route tracker and click to view "Mail drops" in the lower right-hand corner.  This will provide you with the weekly mail drop dates and addresses.  You will have to send the item a few days before the date given - so it gets there for when we are at that particular site.

three days!
