Flying through
I haven't taken nearly enough photos of Tennessee. We are only here for a week, really making headway fast, and already at our last stop, Memphis! Some scenery from yesterday's ride here. Southern Tennessee landscape is much more diverse than I had imagined. Farmland, swampland and everything in-between. A much more wild place than what I've seen In other places in the south. And we've seen everything from the tiniest shacks along the side of the road to huge compounds - and everyone has guard dogs. Thanks to Nick, David and the others for fending off about a hundred dogs from the group. I've learned to be more commanding when screaming "SIT!!" and knowing to have my water bottle ready to spray them. Luckily everyone is pretty much happy and healthy and all in one piece, bikes included. More to come on Memphis once we get to explore tonight and tomorrow!

I am thinking of you and fellow riders today, having learned the sad news from Rainsville. Be safe, and do good. -- The Lemon Fair lady
